Abuja, Nigeria Pastor Dr. Paul Enenche and his wife, Dr. Becky Enenche, senior leaders of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), have formally donated a new patrol vehicle to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in a bid to strengthen road safety enforcement and reduce traffic fatalities within the Federal Capital Territory.
The handover ceremony took place on Sunday at the DIGC headquarters along the bustling Airport Road corridor in Abuja. Both pastors were also conferred with the title of Honorary Special Corps Marshals by FRSC officials, recognizing their support for the national road safety agenda.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Enenche emphasized that the donation reflects the church’s commitment to “serving God and serving humanity” by supporting Nigeria’s foremost road safety agency. He noted that the vehicle will assist FRSC personnel in enhancing patrol operations along high risk routes, easing their workload and helping to save lives.
Highlighting the growing burden of road accidents, particularly along the busy Airport Road stretch, Enenche said the partnership underscores the church’s belief that spiritual care must be coupled with tangible actions that protect and uplift the community.
Dr. Becky Enenche, in her remarks, reaffirmed the ministry’s intention to sustain community oriented interventions, signalling that additional support initiatives may follow across Nigeria and beyond.
Representing the FRSC Corps Marshal, Assistant Corps Marshal Godwin Omiko described the donation as a “welcome and impactful gesture,” urging other well meaning Nigerians to emulate the Enenche family’s example in supporting public safety efforts. However, he also reiterated that the contribution does not confer any exemptions from traffic laws, stressing that enforcement against violations remains a priority.
The FCT Sector Commander of the FRSC, Felix The man, reiterated that lives continue to be lost to road crashes nationwide and that enhanced patrol capacity is critical in curbing this trend. Between mid.December 2025 and January 2026, the Corps recorded a worrying toll of lives lost across major corridors, with several fatalities in the FCT alone, particularly along the Airport Road axis.
The partnership between the DIGC leadership and the FRSC reflects a growing recognition among civil society actors and faith based organisations of the multifaceted challenges of road safety and the need for collaborative action to protect road users.
