Ramadan 2026: Army Chief Oluyede Urges Discipline, Unity and Selfless Service Among Nigerian Troops!

Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, Olufemi Oluyede, has called on officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army to strengthen discipline, unity, and selfless service during the holy month of Ramadan, while acknowledging the sacrifices troops make daily in defending the nation.

Speaking during an Iftar gathering with Muslim personnel, the army chief emphasized that the spiritual lessons of Ramadan including self-restraint, compassion, and devotion should inspire soldiers to reinforce solidarity within the military and deepen their commitment to national security.

Oluyede noted that the fasting period offers a moment for reflection and moral renewal, urging troops to embody the virtues of sacrifice and collective responsibility in the course of their duties.
