Armed assailants have attacked two farmers in Ondo State, killing one and injuring another in a fresh wave of violence that has heightened security concerns in the agrarian community of Ayede-Ogbese.
The Nigeria Police Force confirmed the incident, stating that the attack occurred along Agunla Farm Road in Ayede-Ogbese, a farming settlement in the state. According to police authorities, unidentified gunmen ambushed the victims while they were working on their farmland, resulting in the death of one farmer, while the second victim sustained injuries and is currently receiving medical attention.
