Popular Nigerian comedian and digital content creator Samuel Animashaun Perry, widely known by his stage name Broda Shaggi, has reportedly been hospitalised after sustaining a gunshot injury in the Sango-Ota area of Ogun State.

According to multiple media reports, the incident occurred beneath the Sango-Ota bridge while the comedian was filming a comedy skit with members of his production team. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, and authorities have begun inquiries to determine how the injury occurred.

Sources familiar with the situation indicated that the entertainer was immediately rushed by his crew to Blooming Care Hospital in the Alakuko area of Lagos State, where medical personnel provided emergency treatment upon arrival.

A police source reportedly disclosed that the hospital later alerted security authorities after receiving a patient with a gunshot wound. Detectives subsequently visited the facility and confirmed that the victim was the popular comedian and social media personality known as Broda Shaggi.

Medical personnel reportedly discovered that the injury affected his thigh, and first aid was administered before further medical evaluation. Some reports indicate that he was later transferred to Duchess International Hospital in Ikeja for continued treatment and recovery.

Law enforcement officials have noted that the shooting location falls outside the immediate jurisdiction of the responding police unit, but investigations are ongoing to clarify the exact sequence of events that led to the incident.

Broda Shaggi, whose real name is Samuel Animashaun Perry, rose to national prominence through viral social media comedy skits that blend satire, street culture, and social commentary.
