Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Threatens to ‘Pursue and Kill’ Netanyahu as Israel–Iran War Escalates!

Iran’s powerful military force, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has issued a direct threat against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, declaring that it will “pursue and kill” him as tensions between Iran and Israel intensify amid a widening regional conflict.

According to statements carried by Iranian state-aligned media, the IRGC warned that Netanyahu would remain a target of Iranian retaliation as long as he remains alive. The statement described the Israeli leader as responsible for deadly military actions and accused him of overseeing operations that have resulted in civilian casualties during the ongoing hostilities.

“If this child-killing criminal is alive, we will continue to pursue and kill him with full force,” the IRGC said in remarks reported by Iranian outlets.

The extraordinary threat underscores the severity of the confrontation between Iran and Israel, which has escalated in recent weeks through missile strikes, retaliatory attacks, and increasingly confrontational political rhetoric across the Middle East.

Escalating Hostilities Raise Regional Security Concerns
The IRGC’s statement comes amid growing fears that the conflict could expand into a broader regional war involving additional state actors, including the United States and allied forces operating in the region.

Security analysts say the confrontation between Tehran and Jerusalem has shifted beyond its traditional “shadow war” phase historically marked by covert operations and proxy battles toward more direct military engagements.

The threat also emerged following widespread online speculation and rumours suggesting that Netanyahu may have been injured or killed in recent attacks. Israeli authorities quickly dismissed those claims as false, affirming that the prime minister remains alive and continues to oversee Israel’s military strategy.

Observers note that the IRGC’s statement may serve both as a warning and as part of psychological warfare during the conflict, aimed at demonstrating resolve and rallying domestic support within Iran.

Iranian officials have repeatedly accused Netanyahu of orchestrating military operations that have targeted Iranian commanders, military infrastructure, and allied groups across the Middle East.

The Strategic Role of the IRGC
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is one of Iran’s most powerful security institutions, created following the 1979 Islamic Revolution to protect the country’s political system and strategic interests.

Over the decades, the IRGC has developed extensive influence across Iran’s military, intelligence, and economic sectors. It also oversees the Quds Force, an elite unit responsible for coordinating Iran’s regional alliances and military operations across countries such as Syria, Iraq, and Lebanon.

Because of its strategic role, statements from the IRGC are often viewed as reflecting broader national security positions within Iran’s leadership.

Decades of Tension Between Iran and Israel

Hostilities between Iran and Israel have simmered for decades, driven by deep geopolitical rivalry and competing security interests across the Middle East.

Israel has consistently accused Iran of pursuing nuclear capabilities that could threaten its national security. Tehran, however, maintains that its nuclear programme is intended solely for peaceful purposes and has accused Israel of sabotage operations and targeted assassinations of Iranian scientists.

The two nations have engaged in a long-running shadow conflict involving cyber operations, intelligence activity, and proxy confrontations through allied groups operating across the region.

In recent years, several Israeli military operations have reportedly targeted Iranian commanders and facilities linked to the IRGC, further intensifying tensions between the two states.

Iranian leaders have repeatedly vowed retaliation for such attacks, framing their responses as part of a broader struggle against Israeli military actions and Western influence in the region.

International Community Calls for Restraint
Global leaders and security experts warn that the IRGC’s threat against Netanyahu represents a dangerous escalation in rhetoric that could further inflame tensions in an already volatile region.

The United States and several Western governments have urged restraint, warning that further escalation between Iran and Israel could destabilize the Middle East, disrupt global energy markets, and threaten international trade routes.

Diplomatic observers also note that explicit threats against national leaders are rare in official military statements, raising concerns about the potential for targeted attacks or retaliatory actions that could deepen the conflict.

Despite the rising tensions, diplomatic channels remain active as international actors attempt to prevent the confrontation from expanding into a full-scale regional war.

For now, the IRGC’s warning reflects the depth of hostility between Tehran and Jerusalem and highlights the increasingly fragile security landscape shaping one of the world’s most consequential geopolitical confrontations.
