Delta Sacks, Demotes Health Workers for Extorting Pregnant Women!

The Delta State Government has dismissed multiple health workers implicated in extorting pregnant women and children under five โ groups meant to receive free medical care under the stateโs policy.
The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Joseph Onojaeme, confirmed that those found guilty were either dismissed or demoted, following a thorough investigation. He described the extortion as “criminal, unethical, and a direct sabotage of government efforts.”
The state reaffirmed its zero-tolerance stance on corruption in the health sector and warned other public servants against violating policies meant to protect vulnerable groups.
