BREAKING: ‘It’s AI‑Generated’ — Oshiomhole Reacts to Viral Video Showing Him Massaging Woman on Private Jet!

Reported by Marian Opeyemi Fasesan (Editor -in- chief) | Sele Media Africa Journalist

Former Edo State governor and current Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, has publicly dismissed a widely circulated video showing him allegedly massaging the foot of a woman aboard a private jet — insisting the footage is artificial intelligence (AI)‑generated and fake.

The short clip first emerged on social media on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, rapidly going viral across platforms including TikTok, X, and Instagram. In the video, a man resembling Oshiomhole appears seated in a luxury aircraft, gently rubbing a woman’s foot — triggering widespread discussion and criticism online.

Video Sparks Public Outrage and Misidentification

Initially, some social media users claimed the woman in the video was Oshiomhole’s wife, Iara Fortes — a Cape Verdean lawyer and former model. However, later reports identified her as a South African lifestyle influencer and adult‑content creator known as Leshaan Da Gama, who has previously described herself on social profiles as a “professional sugar baby.”

The footage stirred strong reactions amid Nigeria’s ongoing economic pressures, with many critics condemning the perceived display of luxury by a sitting senator.

Oshiomhole’s Denial: “AI‑Generated and Doctored”

On Wednesday (February 4), through his media office spokesman, Oseni Momodu, Senator Oshiomhole formally denied the authenticity of the video, describing it as a poorly crafted and edited fake AI clip created by malicious actors seeking to damage his reputation.

According to the official statement titled “AI PROPAGANDA VIDEO AGAINST COMRADE OSHIOMHOLE: A CALL FOR CAUTION,” the office characterized the clip as “criminal cyberbullying” and asserted that the inconsistencies — especially around the first few seconds of the roughly 30‑second video — clearly indicate digital manipulation.

The statement added that the senator’s team would pursue investigations into the origins and publishers of the footage and called on Nigerians and media outlets to verify content before sharing or reacting to it.

Broader Debate Over AI and Misinformation

This incident highlights a growing concern over the use of AI in fabricating realistic yet deceptive content — particularly involving public figures. Such manipulated media has increasingly stirred controversy worldwide, raising questions about digital ethics, media literacy, and the need for stronger regulation of social platforms.

Whether the video was AI‑generated or real remains a point of debate online. Still, the senator’s office has maintained that the footage is inauthentic and should be disregarded
