Wildlife tragedy in Namibia! Nearly 100 buffaloes fall to their death while fleeing lions in a stampede!
Reported by David Joshua | Sele Media Africa
Tragedy struck in Namibia’s far eastern region on Tuesday as at least 90 buffaloes were killed in a stampede triggered by a lion chase. According to wildlife officials, the herd — in a frantic attempt to escape — trampled over each other and plunged off a cliff, resulting in massive casualties.
The incident occurred near the Chobe River, a hotspot for wildlife activity. Environmentalists and conservationists have described the loss as “devastating” and a reminder of the harsh realities of predator-prey dynamics in the wild.
Authorities are currently assessing the environmental impact and working with local communities to manage the aftermath.
