2027: Group Urges APC to Field Ambode for Lagos Governorship!

A political advocacy group, the Ambode Comeback Crusaders (ACC), has called on the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to consider former Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, as its governorship candidate in the 2027 elections.

The group made the appeal in a statement issued on Monday, stating that Ambode’s track record during his time as governor between 2015 and 2019 remains unmatched in terms of infrastructural development, fiscal discipline, and innovative governance.

According to ACC, “Lagos deserves a visionary like Ambode again. His leadership was people-driven, and his administration set a high standard that should not be forgotten.”

The group urged APC stakeholders to put aside internal divisions and give Ambode a chance to complete his “unfinished work” for the state, citing public sentiment and nostalgia for his tenure.

Ambode, who has remained relatively silent in the political space since leaving office, is yet to officially respond to the call for his return.
