2026 WAFCON Qualifiers: Oshoala, Seven Others Arrive at Super Falcons Camp!

Nigeriaโs senior womenโs national team, the Super Falcons, have already begun preparations for their crucial 2026 Womenโs Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) final qualifying fixture against the Benin Womenโs National Football Team, with eight players arriving early at the camp in Lomรฉ, Togo. [1]
Leading the early arrivals is captain and sixโtime African Womenโs Footballer of the Year Asisat Oshoala, joined by Turkeyโbased defender Oluwatosin Demehin, Chinaโbased forward Folashade Ijamilusi, new callโup Joy Omewa, and the homeโbased players: goalkeeper Anderline Mgbechi, defenders Blessing Ilivieda and Miracle Usani, midfielder Taiwo Afolabi and forward Kafayat Mafisere. The return leg will be played in Abeokuta, Nigeria, on Tuesday, 28 October 2025.
