11 Countries Seek Ukraine’s Help to Counter Iranian Drones, Says Zelenskyy Enock Damidami from Sele Media Africa
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine, has revealed that 11 countries have approached Ukraine for assistance in countering drones supplied by Iran, which have increasingly been used in modern warfare.Speaking during a recent briefing, Zelenskyy said Ukraine has gained significant experience in defending against Iranian-made drones during its ongoing conflict with Russia. According to him, several nations are now interested in learning from Ukraine’s battlefield strategies, technologies, and defensive tactics used to neutralize the unmanned aerial vehicles.The Ukrainian leader explained that his country has developed effective systems for detecting, tracking, and destroying the drones, which have been widely used by Russian forces in attacks on Ukrainian cities and infrastructure. He noted that the knowledge gained from years of confronting these drones has positioned Ukraine as a key source of expertise in counter-drone warfare.Zelenskyy also emphasized that international cooperation is becoming increasingly important as drone technology spreads globally. He said Ukraine is ready to share its experience with partners to strengthen global defense capabilities against the growing threat posed by armed drones.Security analysts say the request from multiple countries highlights the increasing concern over the proliferation of Iranian-manufactured drones and their use in conflicts around the world.
