Oil marketers across Nigeria have called for active inclusion in the distribution network of the newly operational Dangote Refinery, stressing the importance of fair participation in the supply chain.
Speaking under various associations, the marketers argued that the refineryโs distribution plan should not be limited to selected major players, but should also allow independent and regional marketers to access refined products directly.
They noted that inclusive participation would help ensure wider availability of petroleum products, reduce artificial scarcity, and promote competitive pricing across the country.
The Dangote Refinery, which is Africaโs largest single-train refinery, is expected to play a major role in reducing Nigeriaโs dependence on imported petroleum products while stabilising the downstream oil sector.
Marketers have urged the Federal Government and relevant regulators to facilitate discussions with Dangote Industries Limited to ensure a transparent and inclusive distribution framework that benefits both businesses and consumers.
